The DMARC specification has been developed as part of a loose collaboration to help reduce the threat of email phishing and to improve coordination between email providers and email sender domain owners. The following is a list of some of the participants who have contributed to the specification:

  • Email Providers: AOL, Comcast, Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail
  • Financial Institutions and Service Providers: Bank of America, Fidelity Investments, PayPal
  • Social Media Properties: American Greetings, Facebook, LinkedIn
  • Email Security Solutions Providers: Agari, Cloudmark, eCert, Return Path, Trusted Domain Project
