Hi Or Weinberger,

This is correct.  For completeness, a different route to take would be to publish a DMARC record at "_dmarc.888.com".  You'd then receive data on all sub-domains of 888.com, including email.888.com.

Nor could I.  I'm afraid I had to dip into the spec to find the description.   It should probably be mentioned on the Overview page, in the "Anatomy of a DMARC resource record in the DNS" section..
